What are the symptoms and transmission of Hepatitis?
The symptoms of hepatitis range from mild flu-like symptoms to severe illness, which can include headaches, nausea, high fever, diarrhea, and vomiting. Hepatitis can be transmitted through blood, semen, saliva, and vaginal secretions. Hepatitis A is often transmitted through fecal-oral contact, but any sexual contact with an infected individual could result in the transmission of at least hepatitis types A and B.

What is the treatment, vaccines and complications for Hepatitis?
At present, there is no cure for hepatitis, but with most hepatitis infections it is important to have bed rest and to stay well-hydrated. Vaccines are available to help prevent hepatitis A and B infections. Individuals who are at high risk of becoming infected should be vaccinated. Severe hepatitis infections or reoccurring infections can result in liver damage and possibly cancer.
